| Sheltra Motorsports Focuses On “New Beginning”
“Motorsports Veteran Jon Wolfe To Lead Team In
2010”
MOORESVILLE, North Carolina (January 25, 2010) - - In an
effort to improve their performance for the 2010 racing
season, Sheltra Motorsports officially announced today the
completion of the team’s move to Mooresville, North
Carolina from Whitesville, Kentucky.
The veteran ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and
Menards team also announced several organization changes
for the impending season including the addition of a new
Crew Chief and several key team members.
Jon Wolfe, a fixture in the Motorsports arena for several
years will call the shots for 23-year old driver Patrick
Sheltra in 2010. Wolfe takes the reins after a stint last
year with Eddie Sharp Racing. Wolfe’s healthy resume
and leadership qualities made him a perfect fixture at the
“new” Sheltra Motorsports.
In addition to Wolfe, the team welcomes Brent Glastetter,
Brandon Hylton, Matthew Roberts and Samuel Schram to its
line-up.
Ryan Chism, Chris Knight and Rob Moss made the transition
to North Carolina from the Sheltra’s Kentucky-team
roster.
Sheltra Motorsports is located at 217 Rolling Hill Road
in the Lakeside Park community.
“Obviously, the move shows how dedicated we are to
making a statement this year,” said Car Owner Grace
Sheltra. “We know that North Carolina, particularly
the Mooresville area is the place to be. We are proud of
the move and the new family members we’ve acquired.”
For Sheltra, nicknamed “Mr. Showtime”, he is
equally excited about the team’s announcement.
“I have a good feeling about the upcoming season,”
said Sheltra, who will embrace his fourth-year of competition
in ARCA. “We’re going out there to win races
this year and ultimately win the championship. The move
to North Carolina, the addition of Jon (Wolfe) and the rest
of the new guys just inches us forward to making those dreams
a reality.”
The team has every right to be excited about its upcoming
trip to Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway for the Lucas
Oil Slick Mist 200 at Daytona. In December, Sheltra wheeled
his No. 60 Dodge Charger to the second-fastest time overall
during ARCA’s annual pre-season test in preparation
for the Super Bowl event for the ARCA Racing Series set
for next Saturday, February 6, 2010.
