| Patrick Sheltra Marches To Career Best Qualifying
Effort At Rockingham
ROCKINGHAM, North Carolina (April 18, 2009) - - Still on
a roll from his victory at Salem Speedway two weeks ago,
Patrick Sheltra answered his second qualifying effort at
Rockingham Speedway with a impressive third place time trials
effort Saturday afternoon.
The lap awarded the 22-year old Indiantown, Florida native
with his career best ARCA RE/MAX Series qualifying effort.
At Salem, Sheltra qualified fourth which was a career best
before today.
With his run, Sheltra will also receive five bonus points
in the No. 60 BuckedUpShirts.com
/ BuckedUpApparel.com
Dodge Charger which will be tabulated towards Sheltra’s
ARCA championship points.
“I didn’t leave anything on the table,”
said Sheltra, who turned a lap of 24.822 seconds or 145.033
miles per hour. “The BuckedUp car stuck real good
but I guarantee you, I held my breathe. We’re in good
position to make it back-to-back victories in the ARCA RE/MAX
Series tomorrow. If it happens were going to get BuckedUp
for sure!”
The bonus points have Sheltra sitting just 20 points behind
second place competitor Parker Klingerman. 60 credits keep
Sheltra from the top-spot. In his three years of ARCA racing,
Sheltra has never been higher than fifth before rocketing
to third from his performance at Salem.
Entering Rockingham, Sheltra has 48 ARCA RE/MAX Series
starts to his credit with one career victory at Salem Speedway
(April 2009). Sheltra also holds second place efforts at

(September 2008) with four additional top-five finishes,
(fourth) at Toledo Speedway (October 2008), (fifth) at Talladega
Superspeedway (October 2008), (third) at Illinois State
Fairgrounds (August 2007) and (fourth) at Berlin Raceway
(July 2007) while holding additional top-10s at Nashville
Superspeedway (August 2008), Michigan International Speedway
(June 2008), Kentucky Speedway (May 2008), Kansas Speedway
(April 2008), Iowa Speedway (April 2008), Kentucky Speedway
(June 2007), DuQuoin State Fairgrounds (September 2007)
and Toledo Speedway (October 2007). A third place qualifying
effort at Rockingham Speedway (April 2009) is Sheltra’s
best time trials efforts to date. He has controlled the
ARCA field four times for 101 laps.
In addition to running a full ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule
this year, Sheltra will also run a limited dirt schedule
and also plans to run selected NASCAR Nationwide Series

team.
The ARCA RE/MAX Carolina 200 (200 laps / 200 miles) is
