| Patrick Sheltra Posts Top-10 Effort In Kansas
Practice
“No. 60 Buffalo Wings & Rings-MC2 Energy Drink
Dodge Charger Ninth Fastest”
KANSAS CITY, Kansas (October 1, 2009) - - Patrick Sheltra
in the No. 60 Buffalo Wings & Rings-MC2 Energy Drink
Dodge Charger posted the ninth fastest lap in the ARCA RE/MAX
Series delayed practice session Thursday at Kansas Speedway.
Changes made by the John Hayden led operation from the
most recent mile-and-a-half track at Chicagoland Speedway
seemed to be a step for the team in the right direction
for the veteran team. The team will look to secure their
ninth top-10 finish of the 2009 ARCA RE/MAX Series season
Thursday afternoon.
“We have a real good car,” said driver Patrick
Sheltra. “The guys made some changes between Chicagoland
and Kansas and it propelled us in the right direction. Our
Buffalo Wings & Rings-MC2 Energy Drink Dodge Charger
is really fast; but we’re just trying not to lose
the handle of our car with the speed. We should be really
good for the race today.”
Following Thursday’s ARCA RE/MAX Series event, Sheltra
will remain in the Kansas City area and tackle the NASCAR
Nationwide Series for the fourth time in his career behind
the wheel of the No. 81 Buffalo Wings & Rings-MC2 Energy
Drink Dodge Charger for MacDonald Motorsports in the Kansas
Lottery 300 Saturday afternoon.
Entering Kansas, Sheltra has 65 ARCA RE/MAX Series starts
to his credit with one career victory at Salem Speedway
(April 2009). During his ARCA tenure, Sheltra has accumulated
10 top-fives and posted 22 top-10 finishes. A third place
qualifying effort at Rockingham Speedway (April 2009) is
Sheltra’s best time trials efforts to date. He has
controlled the ARCA field five times for 109 laps.
The Kansas Lottery 150 (100 laps/150 miles) is the 20th
of 21 events on the 2009 ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule. The
ninth ARCA race held at Kansas is a one-day show. The event
will take the green flag shortly after 4:00 p.m. The race
will be broadcasted live on SPEED and through the ARCA Racing
Network (ARN) online at arcaracing.com. All times are local.
