Extension With Turn Two Marketing
WHITESVILLE, Kentucky (October 16, 2009) - - Sheltra Motorsports
and TotalRaceBabe.com jointly announced today the extension
of their partnership with Turn Two Marketing in the race
for Breast Cancer Awareness for the remainder of the 2009
racing season.
At Kansas Speedway earlier this month, the duo joined forces
with the NASCAR vendor to sell the team’s “Together
We Can Make A Difference” bracelets which create a
slick appeal while raising awareness to one of the world’s
most deadliest forms of cancer.
Turn Two Marketing will sell the bracelets for $15.00 a
piece at the following souvenir trailers this weekend at
Lowe’s (North Carolina) Motor Speedway and for the
remainder of the 2009 NASCAR season. The bracelets will
be on display and available for purchase through: 3M, Caterpillar
(CAT), Crown Royal, Ford, General Mills (Cheerios), Jack
Daniels and Michael Waltrip Racing (MWR).
“We are overwhelmed and extremely appreciative of
the support from Turn Two and their associates and other
teams to allow these bracelets to be sold for a great cause,”
said Chris Knight, Director of Communications for Sheltra
Motorsports. “We’ve worked diligently to spread
the word about Breast Cancer Awareness and thanks to the
effort by David Mitchell and TotalRaceBabe.com, we are reaching
out to new venues to help us join the fight.”
For each bracelet sold, $5.00, will be donated to Kimmie
Cares, the official Breast Cancer Awareness charity for
Sheltra Motorsports. The team is hoping to donate a check
of $25,000.00 to them through the bracelets and other benefits
at Homestead-Miami Speedway next month for the Ford 300,
the season finale for the NASCAR Nationwide Series. Driver
Patrick Sheltra will make his second career start at the
1.5-mile oval.
The Kimmie cares doll, book, from The Partners For A Cure
Foundation address two critical and often overlooked issues
for women with cancer - helping moms explain the effects
of cancer to their small children, and helping both child
and adult share their fears and feelings so they can remain
close during this time of illness.
While many other organizations fund cancer research, donating
money for equipment, new medicines and scientists' salaries,
the The Partners For A Cure Foundation takes a somewhat
different approach. Proceeds generated from the sale of
the Kimmie Cares doll as well as donations collected through
other means are distributed not to scientists, but to individuals
with cancer. PFACF helps patients who are struggling financially
from the high costs of cancer treatment and related cancer
care expenses.
