Patrick Sheltra and his #23 Dirt Late Model team traveled to the Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana over the September 19-20 weekend for the annual running of the 'Jackson 100.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned the historic race, which boasted a hefty $20,000 payday. On Friday night, Patrick timed in eighth quickest in his group during qualifying. When the dirt-slinging action continued on Saturday evening, the Indiantown, Florida native finished seventh in his heat race and fifteenth in his B-Main. Unfortunately, those efforts were not good enough to transfer the driver known as "Mr. Showtime" into the 100-lap main event. The stands were full and the action was heavy but dirt track ace Patrick Sheltra proved why he was the man to beat at Union County Speedway Saturday night as the Indiantown, Florida native cruised to a huge UMP late model win in the Big Wieck Memorial at the Liberty, Indiana dirt track. Sheltra who finished second the night before in Ohio was looking for revenge after dominating the event before falling victim to tire decay.

Saturday was another night and another challenge but nothing stood in the 22 year old driver’s way as Sheltra in his No. 23 FloraGanics-Brady Ranch-All About Flowers Chevrolet was dominate, leading 100 percent of the laps and capturing his second dirt victory of the season at Union County Speedway. Following the ARCA RE/MAX Series event on Friday, July 18 at the Kentucky Speedway, Patrick Sheltra jumped back behind the wheel of his #23 Dirt Late Model on Saturday evening. The Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Indiana played host to a $3,000 to win Sunoco American Late Model Series (ALMS) show on Saturday at the Cincinnati area venue. Patrick suffered problems in his heat race and wound up eighth, but put on a show for the Hoosier State fans in the main event. The driver known as "Mr. Showtime" rallied from the back of the pack to garner a fourth place performance behind winner Jerry Bowersock, Rusty Seaver, and Tim Prince.
