Launched
in 2008, the Patrick Sheltra Foundation (PSF) is designed
to bring awareness to public charities of racecar driver
Patrick Sheltra. Throughout the year, the PSF will focus
on its charities of choice bringing exposure, awareness
and contributions. Currently, the PSF supports Womens Center
of Greater Cleveland, Shriner's Hospitals for Children,
and the Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Northwestern Ohio.
Shriner's Hospitals for Children
Shriner's
Hospitals for Children is a one-of-a-kind international
health care system of 22 hospitals dedicated to improving
the lives of children by providing specialty pediatric care,
innovative research and outstanding teaching programs. Children
up to the age of 18 with orthopaedic conditions, burns,
spinal cord injuries and cleft lip and palate are eligible
for admission and receive all care in a family-centered
environment at no charge – regardless of financial
need.
The
purpose of our Big Brothers, Big Sisters Of Northwestern
Ohio is to organize, under professional direction, mature
and responsible individuals to provide, on a volunteer basis,
a role model to children who are in need of a wholesome
relationship with a positive role model; and thus, to provide
companionship and guidance to such children and, to help
assure their proper moral, psychological, intellectual,
vocational and physical development.
